Philippe and Dominique Gaultier are the fourth generation of winemakers on this very large estate (18 hectares – 45 acres).

It is entirely located on a magnificent hillside overlooking the Loire River, in an area situated in the best parts of Rochecorbon, which has the chalk/clay soil which gives VOUVRAY wines their character.

Wines matured in a storehouse where viticulture equipment provides a consistent standard and maintains quality. In the fresh air of these wine cellars, found all over the hillside, these Vouvray white, dry, still medium dry, sweet and sparkling wines which are famous all over the world are matured in the tradition handed down from father to son through the generations. These masters of their trade are always ready to invite you to discover and appreciate their hidden treasures.

• Soil: clay and chalk

• Varietal: 100% Chenin Blanc [Alc: around 12%]

• Age of vines: 35 years

• Yield: 50 hl/ha

• Vinification: controlled temperature during fermentation, stainless steel vats

• Tasting Notes: honeyed aromas, unobtrusive sweetness, good acidity; lengthy apple and quince finish

• Serving Suggestions: as an aperitif or with charcuterie, meat patés, dried fruit
