ABOUT THE WINES OF New Zealand

New Zealand's cool summers and mild winters produce many renowned wines, but most acclaimed of all is the Sauvignon Blanc, which many critics have called the world's best. The region of Marlborough, in the northeastern corner of New Zealand's South Island, is considered to be the best spot on the planet to grow Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Most wine regions are located in free-draining alluvial valleys, with a few notable exceptions.
