Don Miguel Torres Carbó arrived in Chile in 1979 and acquired a small winery in Curicó, establishing Torres as the first firm to place their faith in this now renowned viticultural paradise. Over the years, Torres installations have grown to reach 400 hectares in the Central Valley of Chile. Today, more than two decades after its first discoveries, Torres produces some of its best and most prized wines in Chile.

REGION DESCRIPTION:Chile is an ideal winemaking region, in part thanks to its location, with similar latitudes to its European viticultural equivalents and well-differentiated seasons with spectacular temperature shifts. The sharp contrast between daytime and nighttime temperatures has the potential to foment the best aromas within the grapes. Additionally, geography, the soil and the remarkable absence of Phylloxera make Chile a very sought-after location by winemakers the world over.
