The secret of the high-class wines lies in the quality of the grapes, and this quality starts with an attentive and rigorous work of the fields.
Harmonious prunning, regular ploughing and weeding, organic treatment of diseases, throughout the year, the FAYARD family grants an extreme care to the culture of the vines. The evolution of the grapes and the yield are supervised in order to ensure a mature harvest, healthy
and perfectly balanced.
Always aiming for the coming years, to obtain exceptional harvests and grape quality, the Château Sainte Marguerite naturally applies organic agriculture without the use of chemicals.

Culture, vine growing, wine making, management, sales, design, communication; each member of the family contributes with their competences to make Château Sainte Marguerite’s wines a pleasure for wine lovers.
The Château Sainte Marguerite is 124 acres, which is divided into 4 vineyard sites around Londe Les Maures: Sainte Marguerite, La Désirade, Sainte Pons et Valcros.
The soil type of these 4 parcels is overall identical; a schistous soil very low in organic matter. Planted here are: Cinsault, Grenache,
Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Ugni-Blanc, Rolle, Sémillon and Clairette, expressed with much subtlety to create at the same time complex and extravagant assemblages.
The vineyard is held with an extreme rigour and a permanent respect for the environment. This ecological consciousness makes it possible for the château sainte Marguerite to produce certified organic agricultural wines.
Côtes de Provence is a wide area covering Côte d'Azur (French riviera) from Marseille to Nice cities. Soils, grapes and techniques may differ but one thing remain: the sun.
Half of the rosé wine made in France is coming from Provence! And 80% of the wine made in Provence is rosé. Rosé de Provence are dry and fruity. They are perfect as summer wine, for aperitif, with a salad or with typical mediterranean meals.
Some red wines are also appealing as they keep on improving. Red wines from Côtes de Provence are generally quite strong however in some areas they can be light and delicate. White wines from Provence are excellent with local seafood.
