Dear Friends: Just a quick note to alert you that I have recently launched a new on-line wine publication called Winophilia ( http://www.winophilia.com ).

Winophilia is essentially a free on-line wine magazine consisting of short articles and opinion pieces, a photo archives, video interviews and a Guest Stars feature that includes a winemaker roundtable. It incorporates a lot of different voices, not just my own.

I am also introducing two new features this week. One of them, Winophilia Picks, will spotlight especially noteworthy wines, one at a time. I’ve also established a new Good Marriages category, which will include articles on pairing wine with food, and will include an ongoing sommelier roundtable.

The site is extremely user-friendly and free of clutter, and is aimed at a much broader audience of wine lovers than my International Wine Cellar is. In a way, I suppose, it’s an IWC Lite, although its main objective is to educate and entertain wine lovers rather than to provide tasting notes. Thus far, the feedback I’ve received has been 100% positive.
