White wines can be made either with full green, gold or yellowish grapes or only the juice of select red grapes. They are typically considered lighter in taste and style than red wines, and are traditionally enjoyed with “white” food, such as chicken and fish – although there are certainly exceptions.

Popular white wines include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Grigio. White wine is best served in narrower glasses at 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit.
